Assassin Creed Red Gameplay Reveal Coming at Ubisoft Forward

It’s official! Assassin’s Creed Red is set to have its gameplay reveal during this year’s Ubisoft Forward event. Fans of the franchise have been eagerly awaiting details about the next installment, and now we have some exciting news.

What We Know So Far

  • Gameplay Reveal Date: The gameplay reveal for Assassin’s Creed Red is scheduled for June 10, 2024. During this event, content creators and the press will get hands-on with the game, and the preview embargo will lift on June 12.

  • Dual Protagonists: Assassin’s Creed Red will feature two different Assassins: a male character named Samurai Yasuke and a female Assassin named Naoe. This dual-protagonist approach promises a fresh perspective on the Assassin’s Creed universe.

  • Assassin’s Creed Infinity: Alongside Red, the franchise will introduce Assassin’s Creed Infinity, which serves as the new central hub for all things Assassin’s Creed. The modern-day story will unfold within this framework. To achieve this, the series is transitioning to a unified engine called the Anvil Pipeline. This engine will enhance visuals through ray-traced global illumination and virtual geometry.

  • Overhauled Systems: The move to the Anvil Pipeline has led to a complete overhaul of various game systems. Expect improvements in animations, parkour mechanics, dynamic weather, and more.

What Lies Ahead

Beyond Assassin’s Creed Red, the franchise has exciting projects in the pipeline:

  • Assassin’s Creed Hexe: Scheduled for release in 2026, this mainline entry will feature a solo female protagonist named Elsa—the first since Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China in 2015.
