Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Will Also Release on PS4 and Xbox One

Activision has officially announced the next entry in the Black Ops series, simply titled Black Ops 6. While it’s set to release later this year on current-gen consoles and PC, there’s exciting news for players on last-gen consoles as well.

Last-Gen Console Release

According to Insider Gaming, Black Ops 6 will also be available on the PS4 and Xbox One, similar to how last year’s Modern Warfare 3 was handled. Retailer GameStop had listings for the game, including an SKU for the PS4. Although there doesn’t appear to be a separate Xbox One SKU, the Xbox Series S|X version is a cross-gen release that will also work on Xbox One.

Release Date

The game is slated for a late October 2024 release, as reported by The Verge. This likely means that Black Ops 6 will drop on October 25, considering that the 18th of October would be considered mid-October.

Worldwide Reveal

Mark your calendars! The worldwide reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is scheduled for June 9, 2024, during the Xbox Games Showcase event. Following the showcase, there will be a special Black Ops 6 Direct broadcast where more details about the game will be shared.
