Gigabyte Z890 Motherboards For Next-Gen Intel Arrow Lake-S CPUs Leak: Z890 AORUS Xtreme AI TOP, Master AI TOP and More

Gigabyte’s next-gen Z890 motherboards for Intel’s Arrow Lake-S Desktop CPUs have recently leaked out, and they come with an interesting twist: AI capabilities. The leak, sourced from the Persian news outlet Faceit.ir, reveals several upcoming Z890 motherboards based on the LGA 1851 socket. These motherboards will support next-gen Intel Arrow Lake-S Desktop CPUs, which are set to make their formal debut at Computex 2024.

AI-Enhanced Motherboards

Gigabyte is working on at least 8 new motherboards under its Z890 AORUS and classic portfolio. The top-tier models include:

  1. Z890 AORUS XTREME AI TOP
  2. Z890 MASTER AI TOP
  3. Z890 AI TOP

These three motherboards are listed with “AI TOP,” which suggests a new AI-enhancement feature. While details are scarce, it’s likely related to BIOS tuning capabilities for these higher-end series. The XTREME and MASTER motherboards also have non-AI TOP variants, along with other models like PRO ICE, ELITE WHITE, ELITE AX, and ELITE X ICE.

What to Expect

Intel’s Arrow Lake-S Desktop CPUs will fully utilize these new motherboards to unleash maximum performance potential. We can anticipate features such as native support for Thunderbolt 4 and faster memory speeds. Here’s what we know about Arrow Lake-S CPUs so far:

  • LGA 1851 Socket: Planned until 2026.
  • DDR5 Only Compatibility: No DDR4 support.
  • Increased PCIe Gen 5.0 Lanes: Through CPU & PCH.
  • Arrow Lake-S CPUs: Feature 3 MB L2 Cache Per P-Core and Alchemist iGPUs.
  • CPU SKUs: 8+16 (24 Cores) and 6+8 (14 Cores).
  • Hyper-Threading Support: Uncertain.
  • Launch: Expected in 2H 2024.

Stay tuned for more updates as we approach Computex 2024 and the official launch of these exciting new products! Intel’s Arrow Lake CPUs are expected to ship around the same time as their Lunar Lake counterparts, which are set to arrive in Q3 2024.
