All of the Ubisoft Forward 2024 Announcements

Can you believe I’ve never stayed up for an Ubisoft Forward before? They’ve always been a little outside of my timezone. Anyway, there’s an Ubisoft Forward happening right now, and we know there’ll be more Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, Star Wars: Outlaws, and XDefiant. Let’s dive into the announcements and trailers!

Star Wars: Outlaws

The show opened with a deep dive into Star Wars: Outlaws, and it looks pretty solid. We followed Kay Vess as she tracked down one of the game’s many bounties to the famous Mos Eisley cantina in Tatooine. The game has more depth and detail than expected. Star Wars: Outlaws is set for release on August 30th, 2024.

If that’s too long for you, Ubisoft also dropped a shorter gameplay overview trailer. It discusses the lengths Kay Vess will go to obtain bounties, the choice system, and the locales Kay and her adorable companion Nix will visit.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The first extended gameplay walkthrough of Assassin’s Creed Shadows looks promising. Both playable characters play dramatically different roles in the first true next-gen Assassin’s Creed. The deep dive showcased new engine improvements, making it one of the biggest jumps in the series since Origins. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is still on track for release on November 15th, 2024.

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake

Despite being announced four years ago, the short teaser confirmed the game is coming in 2026. It’s taking longer than expected, but hopefully, they’ll get it right.

XDefiant

The first season of XDefiant introduces the GSK faction with three new weapons. There’ll be one map a month, and Capture The Flag mode is being added. It’s out on July 2nd.

Skull & Bones

The second season of Skull & Bones brings a new ship and dramatic opera-loving villains. Fleet management options expand, and a megalodon creature joins the sea battles. The third season introduces a new 5v5 PvP mode and a sea dragon creature.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

Updates for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown include “Divine Trials” challenges and free updates with new amulets and platforming challenges. A Story DLC called The Mask of Darkness is coming in September 2024.

Rogue Prince of Persia

The first and free Rogue Prince of Persia update, Temple Of Fire, is detailed. The game is still in early access, but it’s dynamic and exciting.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

The first story expansion, The Sky Breaker, sees the Na’vi taking the fight to a mysterious shadow in the sky. It’s out on July 16th.

The Crew: Motorfest

The final season for The Crew: Motorfest’s first year brings a brand new Hawaiian island for free. More updates are coming in November 2024.

New Anno Game

A live-action teaser confirms that the new Anno game will take place in the Pax Romana. For the first time, players can choose their starting province. It’s due out in 2025 for both PC and consoles.
