Intel Core Ultra 200 “Lunar Lake” and “Arrow Lake” CPUs: Launch Dates and Details

Please note that this post contains information based on rumors.

Lunar Lake: New CPU and GPU Architectures

Benchlife reports that Intel’s Core Ultra 200V “Lunar Lake” CPUs are set to launch between September 17 and 24. While an exact date isn’t specified, this suggests the first CPU will arrive during weeks 38 to 39. Lunar Lake represents Intel’s first product featuring entirely new CPU and GPU architectures.

Arrow Lake-S: Desktop CPUs in October

Following Lunar Lake, the Arrow Lake-S platform is expected to launch in October. These desktop CPUs will compete with AMD’s Zen 5-based Ryzen 9000 “Granite Ridge” platform, rumored to launch in July. The initial Arrow Lake-S release will likely include K-series unlocked chips, with locked non-K units arriving next year. These CPUs will require new Z890 motherboards, also slated for an October release.

Intel Vision 2024 Event

Benchlife notes that the Intel Lunar Lake launch will precede the Intel Vision 2024 event, where Intel traditionally announces its desktop platforms. Expect the products to hit the market shortly after the event. Additionally, LGA-1851 platforms equipped with Z890 chipsets will debut alongside Lunar Lake.

Packed Schedule Ahead

With AMD’s Ryzen AI 300 “Strix Point” CPUs and other hardware launches scheduled, 2024 promises an exciting year. Keep an eye out for NVIDIA’s potential RTX 50 series by year-end.
