If you’re planning to upgrade to the AMD Ryzen 9000 series, you’ll be pleased to know that stock is already arriving at retailers. A Reddit user recently shared a photo confirming the arrival of the Ryzen 7 9700X at one retailer. However, the post did not provide further details on whether other SKUs have arrived or when the sales embargo will end.

The Ryzen 7 9700X is an 8-core Zen5 processor with a boost clock of 5.5 GHz. AMD has indicated that this processor might be slower than the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which is currently AMD’s most popular gaming CPU equipped with 3D V-Cache. There were discussions about AMD potentially increasing the TDP for this part before launch, but with samples now in the hands of reviewers and retailers, this seems unlikely.

AMD has not yet officially confirmed the release date for the Ryzen 9000 series. However, unofficial sources, including other retailers and individuals familiar with AMD’s plans, suggest that the release date will be July 31. Pricing for the new Zen5-based series has also not been announced, making it one of the most anticipated topics among tech enthusiasts.
