"Bradley the Badger" Revealed: A Meta-Platformer from the Creators of Mario + Rabbids

A new star is born in the world of mascot platformers, and he's got a big personality. Unveiled at The Game Awards 2025, Bradley the Badger is a new "genre-bending action adventure game" that serves as a quirky, affectionate "send-up to classic mascot platformers" while adding a unique meta-commentary layer.

The title comes from Day 4 Night Studios and is helmed by a pair of industry veterans: Davide Soliani, the lead creative director behind the *Mario + Rabbids* series, and *Red Dead Redemption* veteran Christian Cantamessa.

The Badger's Journey

The reveal trailer introduces Bradley, a charmingly deadpan badger on a mission. His adventure begins after his village is suddenly "poof gone," prompting him to explore and perform "the classics" of platforming: jumping around.

The tone quickly shifts when Bradley finds a mysterious object, which changes his world—literally. He exclaims, "And everything changed. Literally. Oh yeah, Make your own platform game baby, Now we're talking."

The gameplay appears to center around Bradley's ability to manipulate the game world itself. He is shown learning tricks, making new friends, and figuring out "how to think big and small." This concept positions the game as a fresh exploration of the game development process. Bradley even notes, "I really transformed myself," highlighting his core abilities.

Bradley the Badger is currently in development for PC and can be wishlisted on Steam. A final release date has not yet been set.
