5050 = 20% fewer cores than 4060, 33% fewer than 5060. Wins on bandwidth vs 4060 (320 vs 272) and AI TOPS 421 vs 242 for DLSS. Same $249 as 3050 in 2022, +60% raster per NVIDIA.

3. 1080p / 1440p performance

1080p: sweet spot. Medium-high AAA 80-110fps native, 140fps+ DLSS Quality + MFG. eSports 240fps+. 8GB fine in 2026 at 1080p.

1440p: workable with DLSS, Ultra textures clip 8GB in UE5 titles. Buy 5060 Ti 16GB or 9060 XT if 1440p Ultra goal.

Creator perk: AV1 encode vs 3050 7th Gen. Big for streamers on budget.

MSRP $249 dead. Trackers show PNY Dual $359.99 Sept 2026, median 50-series +41% in Aug per TechPowerUp. At $249: buy. At $300+: get 5060 $299 or Intel B580 12GB ~$269 or used 4060. Laptop $999 5050 models still decent vs $1200 5060 laptops.
