By Indie Kings | October 23, 2026

TheWoWDB's build watch caught patch 1.60.1 build 70450 inside the WoW Forever beta, and the datamine behind that catch is the freshest primary-source material on the site this week. The build reached the live WoW Forever beta client, was first seen on 2026-10-16 against build 70425, and carries 60 datamined changes. Its biggest single addition is three new mounts, led by the Crimson Rooster.

What the build adds

WoW Forever is Blizzard's classic-style PC game, running at patch 1.60.1. Build 70450 is a step inside its beta line, and the datamine counts 60 changes against its predecessor, build 70425. The families inside those 60 changes are small and readable: 23 items, 2 quests, 3 mounts, 1 toy, 22 spells, 2 transmog sets, 3 battle pets and 4 creatures, alongside the broad count Blizzard's database treats as the headline number.

The most visible addition is the mount line. The client records how a mount is obtained, through source text that names a vendor, a drop, a quest or an achievement, and the datamine prints that fact as the game holds it. A mount without one is listed by name only, so the three new mounts carry more information than a bare name would.

Build at a glance

Family	Changes
Items	23 new
Quests	2 new
Mounts	3 new
Toys	1 new
Spells	22 new
Transmog sets	2 new
Battle pets	3 new
Creatures	4 new

The build compared against 1.60.1.70425, a first-seen date of 2026-10-16, and a total of 60 counted changes. Blizzard's own patch notes for the line sit at patch 1.60.1, and the beta client is the line in play.

The new mounts

The build adds three mounts, and the Crimson Rooster leads them. The datamine lists the Crimson Rooster first and notes it as the lead among the three, followed by the Spectral Wolf Pack and the Verdant Sea Turtle. All three are new mounts in the client, and the source text the client records for acquisition is where the details live.

The rest of the change families

The item family adds 23 items, including an Adventurer's Tent, a Blossoming Ancient, the Crimson Rooster, shoulder and back and waist and feet slots, and ensembles that pair armor pieces. The spell family adds 22 spells, with the examples of the Adventurer's Tent, the Battle Pet Periodic effect and the Blossoming Ancient and its passive effects. The creature family adds four creatures, the Blossoming Ancient, Gill'el, Pinky and Snowfang, with spawn locations understood as server-side data not present in the client.

Bottom Line

WoW Forever beta build 70450 is a small, readable datamine: 60 changes, four new mounts and a fresh loading screen, all of it sitting on a beta line at patch 1.60.1. The mount lead, the Crimson Rooster, is the story the datamine points at, and the rest of the change list is the texture that makes the build count as 60 rather than as one mount. For a private classic server project, this is the kind of build-level content Indie Kings writes about when the source data is this clean.
